MoU Between GLA University, Mathura and NHAI

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on September 11, 2021 at Lucknow between GLA University, Mathura and National Highway Authority of India.

The MoU was signed between Er. Abdul Basit, Regional Officer, NHAI and Prof. Dilip Kumar Sharma, Associate Dean Academic Collaboration GLA University in the presence of Er. N. P. Singh, DGM (Tech), NHAI, Er. Roopak Jain, Dy. Manager (Tech), NHAI, Dr. Smita Tung, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, GLAU and Ms. Payal Dubey, Research Scholar, GLAU.

Under this initiative, NHAI shall offer internship to 40 number of undergraduate/postgraduate of Civil Engineering students of the GLA University respectively. NHAI shall pay stipend @ 8000/- per month for undergraduate students and @ 15000 per month to Postgraduate students. The MoU is signed for 5 Years.

The MoU is an opportunity to collaborate and work together facilitate the faculty, researchers and students of GLAU to familiarize with the latest trends in the highway/transportation sector with a common objective of sharing the knowledge in their respective domain. This will in one hand, facilitate to bridge the industry- Institution gap by internship and training and familiarize students with the latest trends in industry and on the other hand, the research output could be suitably adopted in practice by NHAI.
