A talk on Research in Mathematical Sciences in International Conference At GLA University, Mathura

Department of Mathematics, GLA University, Mathura recently organized an international conference “Recent Advances in Mathematical Sciences and Inter Disciplinary Areas (RAMSIA-22)”. This conference highlighted the benefits of new knowledge and research in mathematical sciences and also put an emphasis on maximum use of mathematics in research.

Hon'ble chief guest Dr Rajiv Mahajan, Scientist Advisor in SERB (MoST, India) told the students about the importance of mathematics and its application in various fields. He said that the future will be mainly driven by technology in which mathematics will play a very crucial role. Statistics has become an inherent part of Data Sciences, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Prof. Falguni Gupta
Special guest in the conference, Mr. Sachin Kumar Vaishya, District Magistrate of Shopiyan (J&K) explained how mathematics can help in solving the issues related to society and make human life better. Vice-Chancellor of GLA University, Prof. Falguni Gupta said that the university has been organizing such national and international programs for a long time. These programs provide both the students and the teachers the new research and innovation works of their research areas. And also, it provides them an opportunity to interact with researchers from the corners of the world, share knowledge and learn from their experiences.

Conference conveners, Dr Umesh Kumar Sharma and Dr Amit Kumar Saraswat said that 152 research papers were submitted in the conference from various research institutes of India and abroad and of them, only 90 papers were selected for presentation.

Prof. Diwakar Bhardwaj (Dean Resources Generation and planning) and Prof. Dilip Kumar Sharma (Dean International Relation and academic Collaboration) contributed their best in the organizing the conference. Organizing secretory Dr. Archana Dixit, Dr. Mukesh Kumar and Dr. Vinod Bhardwaj invited the participants in the second proceeding of this conference in year 2023. Co-conveners Dr. Ambuj Kumar Mishra and Dr. Pooja Pathak thanked the participants and the delegates for successful completion of the conference. Dr Sweta Shukla, Nisha Godani, Mr Mahavir Sharma, Mr Radheshyam Soni provided their immense support in conduction this conference.

Prof. Kamal Sharma, Dean R&D, said that GLA University, Mathura regularly organizes workshops, seminars to build a scientific attitude and research environment among the students and every year, the university organizes many Nation/International conferences in every field of research which provide a platform to researchers, especially for those who are at very early stage to their career in the research. GLA University encourages and supports its students and faculties to more research work by providing both tangible and intangible resources. It has 12 research centres equipped with latest technology where the researchers can turn their idea into the reality in order to make society better.
