GLA professors prepared a 'Health Band Device' for mines workers

For the health of the workers working in the mines, the professors of the Polytechnic Institute at GLA University, Mathura have prepared the 'Health Band Device' for Mines Worker by doing modern research. Through this device, the supervisor can get information about the disease of the workers. Workers working in deep mines face serious problems due to high blood pressure, heat exhaustion, myocardial infarction. The labours are hesitant to tell the supervisor about the disease, fearing the employment crisis.

Studying on mines, GLA University professors have invented a device that will analyses health risks related to breathing and other diseases. Lecturers Rohini Sharma and Aditya Goswami under the direction of Dean Research Generation and Planning, Prof Diwakar Bhardwaj designed the device after many years. Rohini Sharma and Aditya Goswami said that this device is like a watch, which can be tied on the wrist. Optical sensors have been used in this device. Through this, various activities happening in the body, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen level can be measured. This band will be linked to the supervisor's computer. On being linked, a direct update of the health of any labourer will be available. Dean Research Generation and Planning, Prof Diwakar Bhardwaj said that one of the biggest issues in mining has been reported to be a health problem. The labourer is afraid to report the illness because of worry about losing his job.

This invention will prove to be a blessing for the mine workers. Its proposal will be given to the Director General of Mines Safety in future. With this, it can be used for laborers all over India. Dean Research, Prof Anirudh Pradhan and Associate Dean Research, Prof Kamal Sharma said that the research done by polytechnic teachers will prove to be better for the mine workers.
